10 Tips to Make the Most of Your Festival Experience

Updated: Apr 16

Preparing for a festival isn't always an easy task. Whether you're a seasoned attendee or a newcomer, festival-goers can easily forget some essential items. Here are 10 valuable tips to help you remember everything and make the most of your next festival

  1. Since the weather can be unpredictable, pack gear suitable for both rain (raincoat, boots, poncho) and sun (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen).

  2. Stay hydrated by regularly drinking water. It's ideal to bring a reusable water bottle to ensure you stay hydrated enough. A water bottle is the perfect solution to keep your water cool and minimize plastic waste.

  3. Hygiene may not be at its best during these events, so bring along essentials for proper washing (shampoo, deodorant, body wash, toothpaste). We also recommend bringing wet wipes and hand sanitizer.

  4. Pack some essential medications (for headaches, diarrhea, stomach aches, vomiting, as well as band-aids and disinfectant).

  5. A flashlight is always handy to have, especially when navigating to the toilets at night or retrieving items from your tent in the evening.

  6. Avoid bringing your brand-new phone as the risk of loss and theft is quite common at festival sites and in campgrounds. Additionally, if you have portable chargers, be sure to bring them as it may not always be easy to charge your phone.

  7. Wear appropriate footwear as the distance between the festival and the campsite is often considerable, and you may end up walking a lot each day.

  8. Beware of the various insects (mosquitoes, wasps, ticks) that may be present. Bring necessary protection against them.

  9. Finally, take care of your ears! Since they will be exposed to intense sound levels, it's essential to wear ear protection during concerts. Earplugs can also be used for peaceful sleep if your campsite is close to the festival site. If you don't have any with you, standard foam earplugs are usually provided for free to help you out.

  10. And most importantly... Have fun !
